Arranging a Private Outpatient Consultation
If, following a visit to your GP, you choose to be referred to the Cobham Clinic, a date and time will be arranged by your Consultant. You may have a health insurance policy, or wish to pay for your treatment yourself. If your health insurance policy covers you for your treatment here, you will need to contact your insurance company immediately for their advice, and bring your policy details with you to your appointment.
Consultations and minor treatments are carried out within the Clinic. If you wish to pay for your treatment yourself, you will be asked to settle your account at the time. We have agreements with all the major insurance companies; for example BUPA, AXA PPP, Norwich Union Healthcare and Standard Life Healthcare
If you are paying for your consultations yourself you will be sent an invoice following your appointment. However when attending the clinic you may be asked to pay for any investigations such as blood tests and x-rays while you are here.
Arranging Inpatient Treatment
If you require admission to the clinic, your Consultant will be able to make the necessary arrangements. You will then receive correspondence from us confirming the date and your admission times etc.
Prior to you admission you will be required to contact your medical insurance company to obtain authorisation for your treatment.
For some procedures we can offer a self pay package (see self pay prices) subject to confirmation that there are no underlying medical conditions
